Scavenger Hunt Sunday = Camping Edition

We headed out Friday for a camping trip. I'm not a big camper, we always want to take the boys but Hubs works long summer hours so its tough to get away. So this weekend I was invited to a group family camp out. We'd never been to this lake before and I wanted to take the boys. We had so much fun! Jumped in the lake even. Also a small black bear walked through camp in the morning and our awesome dog barked it away. Yay, for dogs! One of the reasons we got a dog was for camping/hiking and feeling safe.

For some reason I'm a pretty paranoid hiker/camper, terrified of bears. We've gone camping before and I just don't relax or sleep. This time was so stress free and relaxed and I slept like a baby for the most part though I think a root was digging into my back the two nights we stayed over. Maybe it was because I was sharing a camp site and there were several other families and couples from our town there that I felt so safe and comfortable, even after the bear visit. Or maybe it was the dog. Anyway here are some of our shots from the weekend.

1. Summer

2. Laughter
3. Dance
These boys danced around the water for awhile in this dingy.

4. Helper
I had a few this weekend.

5. Water

We had a lot of water this weekend. This boy skirted the water quite a bit but wouldn't go all the way in.

Stopping by from Scavenger Hunt Sunday.
Looks like you had a great time.
I love the picture of your boy walking the dog, such a big helper. And the picture in the boat is lovely
I probably would have been one skirting the water and never going all the way in, I have a fear of water since having a wave go over my head when I was a toddler.

Looks like a lot of fun! I'm not in summer mode yet--last week of school so I can't wait !! What a pretty spot and cute kids!
