Wow! It's amazing to me how quickly things change and move forward.

School has started here. I have a 3rd Grader and a Kindergartener now! My 4 year old is just blossoming the last couple of weeks and it's just so wonderful to see it! I mean this is a boy who could barely talk less than two years ago and now he's talking (still working on it) and achieving so much and understanding so much more. About a week ago he learned to ride his two-wheeler with no training wheels and now he's just so proud to be at school. I love it! Mickey is really flourishing!

He's at the dinner table last night and say that "He has a wonderful life." and this morning tells me I'm a "Fantastic Mother". I mean really? He's just so charming but really he always has been.

SmartGuy. Gosh, I can't believe he's going to be 8 next month. He's so small and articulate and talks all the time about his ideas and dreams and it just is so cool.

He has a new teacher this year and it's a man. I was a little apprehensive about it but we're on the second week now and he's doing so great. I haven't had a chance to talk to the teacher yet but he seems to be really making an effort with Kale. He's doing a special project with Kale as they are doing a Space Unit right now and they are working on a project together at Kale's daycare.

Things have really improved over the last few weeks. This summer was not the greatest at his summer camp, he was having some behaviour issues but after a meeting with his teachers and talking to him, things have improved.

We had set up a sticker chart with him a couple of months ago where he is working on some specific things like listening & obedience (for safety), respect, kindness, stop & think and household chores. He is working toward a video camera. It seems to be working and he seems more aware of his actions.

He's just so smart and fun and creative, I don't want to see him fail because of his behaviour.

Mica, my little Mica. Wow, over two and a half now. It just amazes me. He's starting to talk. He has been working with my friend for the last year now as he has something similiar to what Mickey had but he's way beyond where Mickey was because of early intervention. I love this age when he's coming into his own and learning and exploring his world more.

One thing is obvious though, is that he's got some sensory issues like his brothers and like his brothers none of them are the same. Where Kale gets overstimulated, Mickey avoids stimulation and Mica seeks it. So you can see where I have a lot of things on my plate these days!

I did finally get to craft night and finish Mica's first year book and now I'm going to start the family books. So I have to go back and look at photos and print what I can use. I'm really looking forward to it.

In a couple of weeks I go down to Vancouver and see the dentist. I have to have a root canal redone. I'm going by myself so it'll be nice to have some alone time. Hubby will have things under control.

Then at the end of September I'm going to a Conference for Learning Disabilities with my friend Sue. Why am I going? They are having Advocacy workshops and the Child Developement Center who my friend Sue works for suggest I take the Advocacy workshops to help me learn how to advocate for my children since they have all had speech delays and sensory/behaviour issues. So I'm going. It's costing my $350 smackaroos but I couldn't take just the workshops I need and pay a small fee no, I had to sign up for the whole thing. So I'll be taking workshops on other subjects to get my money's worth. It should be an interesting time.

Other than that life is still chaotic and busy but I've been find me time in there and Hubby and me time, I've even gotten out of the house a few times for drinks with my friends. So life it pretty good right now.
