Relay for Life

Relay for Life is a just what is sounds like, a relay. You have teams and you walk for 12 hours. Our team had plenty of people, we did fundraising by asking for donations and making crafts to sell. Yesterday from 12 noon to 12 midnight we walked. It was a very hot day.

It started with a ceremony. Which is very moving with guest speaks who have lost loved once to cancer and survivors who speak about their experience. I had a hard time at moments holding it together and for the most part the day was okay. I'm so thankful for friends that I have to support me.

All together our community raised 33,000.00 and counting. It was a good experience for me and hope our team continues it for years to come.
