Daily Check-In Monday

So I downloaded an App from MindValley, Omvana and listened to some of of that and used the OmHarmonics for meditation last night. I went to sleep so easy last night it was amazing. I listened to a bit of morning meditation when I woke up this morning as well.

I made this smoothie for Marcel and myself, it was very yummy.

2 c. coconut water
handful of kale leaves, take out the thick veins
large handful of spinach
1 tbs. ground flax seed
1 tbs. chia seeds
cinnamon, a few shakes
splash of vanilla
1 cup blueberries
1 banana

On the way to work I grabbed a skim latte, i really need to give these up and wake up early enough to make my own coffee at home.  A breakfast wrap, good protein and need to make these at home instead as well. For some unknown reason I grabbed a muffin, I'm having a hard time with carbs lately but at least my foot isn't inflamed again. I need to pull out the old recipes and find a healthy muffin recipe for the boys and myself, they love morning muffins.

I had forgotten my bathing suit this morning so I went home to get it and couldn't find it. I didn't swim last week because of my ears. The headaches are gone and the funny pressure I was having so I decided to get back to it. So I was late but managed to find it at the bottom of a pile of laundry. So 45 minutes workout is better than none at all.

Only problem is I didn't snack right (muffin isn't enough of the right stuff) before working out, not enough protein to tide me over. So I was crashing by the time I got back to work. Fortunately, a coworker let me have some of his orange juice and it brought my blood sugars back up to normal. So a healthy sandwich and a club soda later I'm good! It's been some time since I've crashed like that. Since last fall I think.

I started some kefir last night and that should be ready for some juice tonight. We ran out of probiotics quickly and my kombucha is almost done. I have my EZ cap bottles all clean and ready for bottling. Can't wait.

I have some almonds soaking for my almond milk and coconut and rice waiting to make those milks. I feel like I'm the road to success. I also have some dates soaking for my lara bars.

Tomorrow the boys and I start our couch to 5k journey. We'll see how my knees handle the running but I'm sure our dog will love it.

It seems like I have a lot on the go this week. I did have a week off though with this cold, almost better. Yay!  I was going to restart the cleanse but I'm not sure now. Maybe just stick to the clean eating and pull some of the recipes I liked from the cleanse and incorporate into my menu.

The above I wrote yesterday.

The rest of yesterday went alright. We got home, had a snack of berries and yogurt. I made a homemade hamburger helper with some Annie's cheesy shells and a pile of veggies.

Stayed up a little too late last night sorting out my Avon for customers. We had a bit of a rest from chores last night since we did so much the night before. We only really need to tackle the laundry pile and the younger boys bedroom.

I was snacky last night and ended up eating a few tortilla chips and halve a aero bar I found in the fridge. I felt pretty good that I only had two pieces and put the rest in the freezer. Everyday there is progress.
