The big blog event happening is the 31 Day challenge over at Nester. The challenge is to write everyday about a topic of our choice. A theme. So this is what I picked for the challenge. I'm looking forward to the challenge. I'm taking a chance and willing to get myself on track. There are already hundreds of links over there and I'm looking forward to reading through those who linked up.
I'm horrible at planning when it comes to taking care of myself, so this is my start to changing that. My 31 Days to a Healthier Me. I've taken this journey before and they only way I succeed is by immersing myself into the thick of it. Planning, writing, reading about getting healthy and weight loss. As I said I've done this before, so I have a wealth of information at my fingertips in the form of books, websites and things I've picked up along my journey. This is my third time starting this journey and I'd like to make stick.
I'm be writing everyday for the month of October on getting to a healthier me!!
Day 1
First things first. Pick a plan. Weight Watchers, Portion Control, South Beach, Calorie Counting, something that works for you.
I'm going with calorie counting and may dabble in the south beach diet. Not sure yet.
So once you've picked a plan you can start doing some research.
Start small pick a goal or two a week.
Small goals can be:
- Drinking 8 glasses of water a day.
- Getting 8 hours of sleep a night.
- Getting enough fruits and veggies.
- Getting 30 minutes of exercise at least 3 times a week.
Pick something that is a small step and go with it.
Some great websites with some great resources are:
Spark People
3 Fat Chicks
(I'll be sharing more links as we go on.)
So here we go!
